Echo.in is a travel planning and life-memory app published by Nunez Studio. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you use Echo.in, how it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.
1. Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, Echo.in may process information that you choose to provide, including:
- Account and profile information, such as your email address, display name and sign-in method.
- Journey information, including trip names, destinations, dates, itinerary items, notes, saved places, packing items and other trip details.
- Memories and media, such as memory titles, notes, dates, locations and photos that you choose to add.
- Journey Wallet content, such as travel documents, images and files that you choose to upload.
- Collaboration information, such as invitations, membership roles and content shared inside a journey.
- Echo AI requests, including questions you type and relevant journey or location context needed to provide an answer.
2. Location information
Some features, such as Nearby and location-aware Echo AI planning, may use your device location when you choose to use those features and grant the relevant permission. Location may be used to find nearby places, improve travel suggestions or provide location-aware planning.
You can control location permission through your device settings. Echo.in does not require continuous background location tracking for its normal travel-planning features.
3. Authentication and biometrics
Echo.in supports account sign-in using email/password and Google Sign-In. Authentication services may process identifiers needed to sign you in securely.
If you enable biometric login, fingerprint or face verification is performed by your device's operating system. Echo.in does not receive or store your fingerprint, face template or other biometric template.
4. How we use information
- create and secure your account;
- save, sync and display your journeys, memories, saved places and documents;
- support shared journeys and collaborator permissions;
- provide location-aware tools when requested;
- generate travel assistance, packing suggestions and other Echo AI responses;
- prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems and maintain service reliability; and
- comply with legal obligations when applicable.
5. Echo AI
When you use Echo AI, the text you submit and relevant context needed to answer your request may be sent to an AI service provider for processing. This context may include trip details, destination information, nearby-place information or location context when relevant to the request.
Echo AI responses may be inaccurate or outdated. Verify important details such as prices, opening hours, safety information and availability before relying on them.
Photos or Journey Wallet documents are not sent to an AI provider unless a feature clearly indicates that the selected content will be used for AI processing.
6. Service providers
Echo.in relies on third-party service providers to operate certain features. These may include:
- Supabase for authentication, database and cloud storage services;
- Google for Google Sign-In and platform services;
- OpenAI for Echo AI processing;
- mapping and location providers, including services used to search for places and map destinations; and
- hosting, email and infrastructure providers needed to operate the service and send account-related communications.
7. Shared journeys
If you invite another person to a journey, content within that shared journey may be visible to invited members according to their role. For example, an editor may be able to add or change shared journey content, while a viewer may have read-only access.
8. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share or disclose information only with service providers needed to operate Echo.in, with collaborators you intentionally invite, when required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect users and the security of the service.
9. Data retention
We retain account and cloud-backed app data for as long as needed to provide Echo.in, until you delete content or request account deletion, or as otherwise required for security, backup, fraud-prevention or legal purposes.
Local data stored on your device may remain until you remove it, clear app storage or uninstall the app.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.
11. Your choices and controls
You can control certain data and permissions through Echo.in and your device settings, including location access and biometric login. Where available, you can edit or delete individual journeys, memories, saved places and uploaded content from within the app.
12. Account and data deletion
To request deletion of your Echo.in account and associated cloud data, email privacy@nunezstudio.dev from the email address associated with your account and state that you are requesting deletion of your Echo.in account.
We may need to verify your identity before processing a deletion request. Some limited information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security, fraud-prevention or record-keeping purposes.
13. Children's privacy
Echo.in is not directed to children under 13 or to children below the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction.
14. International processing
Echo.in's service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers in accordance with applicable law.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Echo.in changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
